First day in lovely Burgos started with nice performances.
Students had prepared a lovely welcome-video for all and three teachers sang like angels in this catholic school called Colegio Blanca de Castilla. Also the school principal and the Spanish coordinator Mrs. Paz Cuevas welcomed us very warmly. Students started to work in five different groups (in each group seven different nationalities) and teachers worked on the newsletter, questionnaires and other administrative issues.
In the afternoon we visited the gorgeous cathedral:
The Burgos Cathedral is located in the historical centre of the Spanish city of the same name, in the Autonomous Community of Castilla y León, in the northern Iberian Peninsula.
One of the teachers, Mrs. Rebecca Martín guided us through the cathedral presenting us different parts of the building and telling us interesting facts about its construction, about the architecture and of course – the meaning of many religious legends. Thanks Rebecca and Pedro (who was our assisting guide) !
